Timber Aluminium Windows

Environment

Environmental protection is one of our key priorities. Forest only use timber from well managed sources, certified by the The Polish National Forestry Agency.

Timber is, and always has been, a renewable material, a natural insulator and a low energy consumer in its conversion to windows. Moreover windows made of timber are non toxic, do not absorb pollutants and are part of the natural environmental cycle.

U-PVC windows use 8 times more energy in manufacturing than timber windows and generate 43 percent more waste” (WWF, 2005)

Of all production materials wood has the lowest thermal expansion rate therefore it provides the highest thermal and acoustic insulation. Of all production materials wood requires the least power to produce the perfect window.

U-Value = Thermal Energy Balance

A U-value is a number that represents the rate of heat loss through a window or door. The lower the number, the greater a window resists the transfer of heat. Forest use double glazing panes with a glass centre point U-Value of 1, which far exceeds the required building regulations standard of U-Value 1.8.
